HP Agilent 1100 HPLC G1322A Degasser weighs 16.5 lbs and has dimensions of (WxDxH) 13.5×17×3.1inches. It comes with a power cable, 1 remote cable, auxiliary cable, reference manual and an accessory kit. HP Agilent 1100 HPLC G1322A Degasser comprises of a 4-channel vacuum container which includes 4 micro structured membranes, and a vacuum pump. Two status lamps located on the front side of the micro vacuum degasser denote the power supply status (left lamp) and the micro vacuum degasser status (right lamp).
The micro vacuum degasser offers various operation modes. Operation mode 1 and 2 are the normal operation modes of the HP Agilent 1100 HPLC G1322A degasser. The operation mode 1 allows the vacuum degasser to work at 115 Torr and in operation mode 2 it works in the range between 115 to 190 Torr. To attain the highest degassing efficiency of HP Agilent 1100 HPLC G1322A degasser, the continuous mode can be selected in which the vacuum level drops below 115 Torr. This mode is recommended for very sensitive applications. If HPLC G1322A degasser does not achieve a vacuum level of 190 Torr, the error mode gets automatically activated.
HP Agilent 1100 HPLC G1322A Degasser has an inbuilt indicator which indicates the instrument status. When the lamp is OFF, it signifies that there is sufficient vacuum in the micro vacuum degasser and it is in ready condition. If the lamp turns yellow, it indicates a busy condition and signifies its working status. When the HPLC G1322A Degasser detects an internal defect then an error condition is indicated with the red color of the lamp.
Prior to using a new degasser for the first time, prime all tubings with 5 ml of isopropanol. Before starting any application, pump for 5 minutes at the selected flow rate to properly degas the solvent in the degasser tubes. Avoid the use of steel-corrosive solvents like solutions of alkali halides and their acids, high concentrations of inorganic acids and chromatographic grade ethers which contain peroxides. For better performance of HPLC G1322A degasser, prevent blocking of solvent filters.
